Microslide Dipslides offer a convenient method of monitoring bacteria or moulds & spores on surfaces or in fluids, this allows simple screening without the need for microbiological skills to interpret results or Petri-dish plate methods traditionally associated with microbiology. The dual surface paddle is coated with specially formulated pre-hydrated long life agar (culture media) and is supplied sterile and ready to use.
The dual media paddle is housed in a clear styrene tube. This keeps the agar hydrated and sterile prior to use. The typical use by life is 6 to 9 months depending on manufacture date and agar specification or test range. (pic of slide)
Our modern production methods inkjet code and date each individual slide. Should they be separated, you still have the information and type information – not a feature of many competitors’ products.
With our careful choice of culture media and the additions of supplements to allow easy interpretation by way of colour you can carry out simple screening and assessment. Results for most tests are evident in around 24 to 48 hours.
Each batch of MicroSlides are held for a minimum of 7 days at 25ºC prior to physical checks to ensure no immediate contamination as part of our rigorous quality control procedures. All components are traceable to source and customers are welcome to inspect our quality manuals or visit the factory.
