BIOCIDES

INTACE offers a product line of specialty biocides, complementing its fungicide product range. These products assure a microbiological preservation or the development of particular characteristics for surface applications (mineral loads, starches, polymers and latexes).

INTACE has a range of microbiological control chemicals for the preservation of paper, board, water-based slurries, starches, polymers and lattices. The application of relatively small amounts of these products will prevent bacterial and fungal contamination of water-based additives for the paper machine system. This will help avoid spots and discoloration of the paper, and improve the operation of the paper machine.

INTACE has three biocides for different applications in the papermaking process.

B-43F is a combination bactericide/fungicide that can be applied to the paper surface to make the paper resistant to bacteria or fungal growth.

B-48 is an all purpose biocide that is primarily used to prevent microbiological growth in slurries, lattices, starch solutions and other water based liquids. It can also be used as a paper machine slimicide or an in-can preservative for paints.

B-74 is a very effective biocide designed to be applied to paper or non-woven surfaces to protect against bacterial infection. It is mainly used for security and bank note papers, but is also suitable for paper and non-wovens used in hospitals.
